Adam Cullen, the “bad boy” of
Australian art, achieved respectability
when he won the 2000 Archibald
Prize. In a more recent sign of the
wider acceptance of his controversial
and sometimes confronting “grunge
art”, his name now sits atop The
Cullen Hotel, the first in a series of
art-themed, boutique hotels.
